The exhibition catalogue prepared by four Polish royal residences and the Belvedere Museum in Vienna contains six essays on the politics and culture of Jan III's times and descriptions of works of art presented at the exhibition: paintings, works of artistic craftsmanship, militaria and precious souvenirs. The creators of the exhibition managed to present the Viennese audience with a convincing and multi-faceted image of Jan III – a monarch who played an important role in the history of Europe, a great leader, patron of the arts and sciences, and finally, father of a family. The exhibition took place in 2017 at the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene of Savoy in Vienna.
